Calcium Carbonate Natural calcium carbonate, better known as GCC, is one of the most abundant minerals in nature and its chemical formula is CaCO3 . It is found extracted naturally and has several composition variations. It has alkaline characteristics and for this characteristic is widely used for pH adjustment in specific formulations. Calcium carbonate is a mineral, inorganic, beneficiated substance that can be used in several areas:
